Admin Assistant Core Responsibilities:
- This position is perfect for someone who wants to use this opportunity to learn the insurance business and advance in a hyper growth company.
- You will be supporting our top sales broker (who wears out computers in record time) with all of the administrative tasks needed to complete the sales process.
- Create, co-ordinate and follow-up on supporting documents
- Thoroughly review all required documentation from the broker to ensure accuracy and adherence to underwriting criteria (you’re the goalie, nothing should get by you).
- Deliver an awesome experience for the customers.
- Do what is needed to keep the sales broker on track, take what you can off their plate and always stay one step ahead (maybe remind them to eat something once in a while -they love what they do a bit too much some days!).
Traits That Make a Strong Candidate For the Admin Assistant
- You need to be dedicated to helping the broker and our team provide exceptional customer service every time (Not kidding, we’re serious about our customer service!)
- You can complete tasks accurately and in a timely fashion. (We mentioned the sales broker moves really fast, maybe the fastest P/L sales broker in the industry)
- You love technology and want to use it to increase efficiency
- You enjoy learning and finding new ways of doing things better
- And rapid fire you are:
- A fast learner (you only need to be told once, maybe twice how to do something)
- Detailed & accurate (A MUST!)
- Positive & happy (to us, attitude is more important than insurance experience)
- Proactive & intuitive (mind reading is an asset)
- Efficient & flexible
- A team player
- Exceptionally well-mannered on phone calls and emails (The customer needs to love the sales broker more because of you)
- Work well under press and thrive in a fast paced environment
- Willing to work hard & play hard
- Have a sense of humour, we don’t take ourselves too seriously
